"Trumpets & Triangles"

The Qld POPS Orchestra is coming to Maleny and featuring its Brass and Percussion ensembles from the Orchestra in a special show.  The Pops Director, Patrick Pickett, OAM, has prepared an entertaining repertoire to send patrons home with a spring in their step.  The musicians have international and national reputations, having toured in Europe, China and for Musica Viva across Australia.  There will be challenging works for Brass Quintet that will delight with virtuosity, musicality and entertainment value.  

The fully professional and outstanding Qld POPS Orchestra (www.qldpops.com.au) was founded in 1984 by the late Colin Harper, AM MBE and played to packed houses until his death in 2004.  It has been revitalised under the direction of Patrick Pickett who has a vast experience in music conducting and management and who brings his unique and amusing style to the platform.

The Maleny Community Centre is fast becoming a popular venue for well-known artists who enjoy the excellent acoustics and facilities now available there.
