SYMPHONY BY THE SEA "Simply Classical" Mothers Day Concert Saturday 7th May 2pm to 4pm Coolum Civic Centre, Park St, Coolum Beach

At Coolum Civic Centre on Saturday May the 7th you can expect to hear great Orchestral Classics such as Rossini’s Thieving Magpie Overture, plus the musical adventures of Mozart, his Eine Kleine Nacht Musik and the 1st Movement of the 40th Symphony. 

Also programmed are works by Sibelius, Bizet, Vivaldi, Copeland and the vivacious Verdi, his Triumphal March from Aida will resound from the “rafters”.

You will be serenaded with “Rustic Chivalry” in the beautiful Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni and finally you will be transported to Disneyland and the seventh segment of Disney’s “Fantasia” or, if you remember "Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (A Letter from Camp)".

“The Grammy Award-winning novelty song by Allan Sherman and Lou Busch, based on letters of complaint Allan received from his son Robert while Robert attended Camp Champlain in Westport, New York”.

These great classical tunes will be performed for you by the superb Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra conducted by Adrian King.

Rhythms that will “set your toe tapping” and melodies to “sing along to” – popular classical music to be enjoyed by the listener and performer alike!!
