Prince Tribute Night - Eumundi Drive-in

Starry Nights Eumundi Drive-in presents a special screening on Friday 27 May in commemoration of the “dearly beloved” music and pop culture icon Prince. The Prince Tribute Night will feature Prince music videos followed by a screening of cult movie 'Purple Rain' (M).

This one night only screening will be a chance for diehard fans and the many of us who grew up listening to his music to celebrate the musician, the actor, and the legend that was Prince.

A bit about the movie:

PURPLE RAIN – Rated M

“Purple Rain,” with Prince in the lead role, was the landmark 1984 movie that boosted Prince to international superstardom. 

The movie is a semi-autobiographical tale of The Kid, a Minneapolis musician working his way through the club scene while dealing with romance and a difficult family life.

Released with Prince’s album of the same name, “Purple Rain” won the musician an Oscar for best original song score. The album contains Prince’s chart-toppers “When Doves Cry”, “Let’s Go Crazy” and “Purple Rain”.
