Wearable Art Competition - Eumundi Square

As part of the Sunshine Coast Council’s Horizon Festival, Eumundi Square will be hosting a Wearable Art Competition from 9:00am to noon on Friday 25 August 2017 (Entries close on 18 August 2017).  The event will be opened by a Welcome to Country, Dance Didgeridoo presentation and traditional fire lighting by the Kabi Kabi people… Then the catwalk will be ready with entrants showing off their creations in front of 4 guest judges. Anne Harris & Jenai Hooke will also present a range of naturally dyed  clothing created by local designers.  There are five different categories, best overall design and construction, sustainability theme, natural dyed creation, best  head piece and best student category with the winner of each category receiving $250 in cash. Entrants can also enter their wearable art piece in as many categories as they like providing they qualify…so entrants can win more than once!
