WILD MARMALADE

Taking things to the next level, at all times, in all spaces, the Marmalade boys are poised to raise the roof and deliver the good vibeZ.

Wild Marmalade are the pioneers of the didgeridoo and drum sound that is now a global phenomena. From their humble origins as street entertainers in the late '90s, they have taken their unique brand of didgeridoo and drum dance music to stages, clubs and festivals the world over.

Cirque du Soleil were one of the first to be interested in the Marmalade sound. Composer Benoit Jutras said after experiencing Wild Marmalade play for the first time that is it was "... the most uplifting, energetic live performance I saw in my life... A unique experience."

With a strong following in Japan, Australia and Europe, Wild Marmalade are the seed of a movement of people that have a taste for dance music played live with human energy and power. They regularly play at electronic dance music festivals such as Boom and Ozora and they have toured Japan and Europe every year since 2000.

Every performance is a unique journey crafted specifically for the time, place and audience. The band enter the show arena empty handed, with no set list. No plan whatsoever, just free minds in a sea of energy, ready to go. With an ethos of free-play improvisation, the trio create waves of energy that take the audience under their dance spell.

In a world where nearly everything is ordered and rehearsed, Wild Marmalade deliver a wholehearted journey into the present moment with a kind of reckless abandon that defies categorisation. Uplifting, inspired, human powered dance music unparalleled in the world today.

More than music that jumps out of the box, when the drone of the didgeridoo meets the fire of the drum and the passion of the guitar, then there is no box!

FLASKAS

Flaskas bring real live tribal acoustic sounds to the doorstep of your senses sharing a multi dimensional and cultural experience that will touch and invigorate your soul.

Their trademark sound is a re-imagining they call 'Earth Rock' – a high-power blend of alternative, coastal roots, funk, folk, blues and Indigenous music utilising native instruments. Through the bands unique magnetic connection and Chris's thoughtful, philosophical lyrics and soul infused instrumentation-ship, Flaskas has earned a reputation for being a powerful motivating and uplifting act.

Flaskas was born in 2017 when vocalist and guitarist Chris Flaskas teamed up with master world percussionist Duncan Barker and soul bassist Jasper Lambert. Already supporting blues rock legend Ash Grunwald, Wild Marmalade and Kallidad, they have also shared the stage with the likes of Boy & Bear, Busby Marou, Tijuana Cartel, Timberwolf + performed at a wealth of festivals including Sea N Sound, Caloundra Music festival, MM&VA Festival, Horizon Underground, Ocean Street World Festival, and the Airlie Beach Music Festival.

Flaskas is due to release their first 8 track EP recorded live to tape at the famous award winning ‘Heliport Studios’ in mid 2018.

Flaskas is infectious in the way they command the stage, their unique sound is instantly earthy with a distinctly Australian rhythm.  A true taste of modern tribal story- telling at its best.
