In this workshop you’ll be led through a Vinyasa flow practice, including Sun Salutations, twists, backbends, seated and standing poses and inversions in the mornings and a restful restorative practice in the afternoons.

The smooth flowing sequences of Vinyasa yoga syncronizes movement with the breath, which benefits both self-awareness & mindfulness. You’ll develop a stronger body-mind connection and an increased sense of strength and flexibility.

Restorative yoga allows you to slow down and surrender into a deeper sense relaxation for your body and mind. We’ll use props to support the body into safe and comfortable positions to facilitate deep relaxation and ease.

This practice is suitable for everyone. Please wear loose, comfortable, modest clothing and bring a large beach towel.

Annie recommends retreat participants stay onsite to get the most benefit from the retreat.

Friday 16 March 6.30pm to Sunday 18 March 4.30pm at the Wellbeing Centre at Chenrezig Institute.

Facility Fee: $120 with meals and accommodation available separately.

Established 1974, Chenrezig Institute is a centre for Buddhist study, meditation, retreat and practice nestled in the foothills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The Institute is home to a Tibetan Geshe (Lama), a large community of ordained Sangha (monks and nuns), students, residents, volunteers, retreat goers and guests.

Apart from the formal study programmes, Chenrezig Institute is a friendly yet peaceful, calm and relaxing place to spend a few hours, days or weeks in our varied accommodation. Visit our Gompa on the hill, past the prayer wheel, stroll along the bush paths or wander in the formal Garden Of Enlightenment & around the Stupas. Enjoy an espresso & cake in the cafe or a vegetarian meal, pop into our shop or relax in our extensive library.

Also below the carpark is our new addition ‘The Wellbeing Centre’ which provides courses focusing on cultivating physical, emotional and mental balance and wellbeing. They include authentic traditional and modern psychological approaches to health and lifestyle. They are suitable for everyone who maybe looking for genuine happiness and well-being in a non-religious framework.
