The Nambour Red Cross Branch along with the Nambour CWA are honouring
our women and men who did so much during WW1 at home as well as the front.
Our community rallied behind our boys and girls overseas in many ways. In World War 1
there were over 22 Red Cross groups from Gympie to Caloundra west to Maleny who came
together to carry out this important work.
They raised funds in support of the war effort as well as knitting socks, balaclavas, making
fleece jackets, camouflage, and comfort packs.
