Be prepared to be blown away when KALLIDAD bring their sensational sounds to The Bunker on Friday 17 May. They will be supported by FLASKAS.

KALLIDAD

With their trademark “Day of the Dead” facepaint, Sydney-based instrumental trio Kallidad has a visual image every bit as striking as their one of a kind sound.

Kallidad do not need to utter one word to create a bond with their audience, combining Spanish guitar styles with hard rock roots to create a truly unique sound that has seen the group tour the world.

The line-up is two Spanish guitars and a box drum - but don't let the lightweight set up fool you. Kallidad can rock a crowd from top to bottom!  The group combines influences from flamenco and mariachi music with rock and metal to create a powerful, energetic and uplifting sound that gives the audience no choice but to dance!

Kallidad has released four albums independently. The most recent studio record, 2018’s “Flamingo” presents familiar and brand new sounds delving deep into the soul and psyche. Kallidad also recently released “Unplugged 2018” - a “live in the studio” recording with zero editing, designed to showcase the group’s musical subtlety and ability across a wide selection of existing and new tunes.

Kallidad live and breathe music and their live show is a testament to their obsession with the craft of connection.

FLASKAS

Flaskas bring real live tribal acoustic sounds to the doorstep of your senses sharing a multi dimensional and cultural experience that will touch and invigorate your soul.

Their trademark sound is a re-imagining they call 'Earth Rock' – a high-power blend of alternative, coastal roots, funk, folk, blues and Indigenous music utilising native instruments. Through the band's unique magnetic connection and vocalist Chris Flaskas' thoughtful, philosophical lyrics and soul-infused instrumentation-ship, Flaskas has earned a reputation for being a powerful motivating and uplifting act.

Flaskas is infectious in the way they command the stage. Their unique sound is instantly earthy with a distinctly Australian rhythm - a true taste of modern tribal story-telling at its best.
