Doonan Country Market Fair Day

House with No Steps Doonan will be hosting a Country Fair on 6th December from 9am to 2pm. The fair is to celebrate International Day of People with Disability and National Volunteers Day. It will be held at our site on Charles Duke Memorial Drive, off Fellowship Rd, which means we have ample parking and also means we can accommodate for all abilities on the day.

The day is set up to be fun and festive, and given our rural setting has a distinct country theme. We are hosting a “Bake off” competition with Flo Saunders from the Eumundi CWA judging entries and deciding who wins the blue ribbon. Entries are to be received by 10am. See if you can get Grandma to pass on her secret scone recipe and take out the 1st prize. We have a White Elephant Stall, Art and Craft stalls and displays by Sunshine Coast Motor Sports, Noosa Flexible Learning, Noosa River and Canal cruises, Rotary, Friends of the Hound as well as other fun activities.

Creative Moves will be performing their show in the main hall at 11am and we will have live music by local legends Barry Charles and DJ Ella. The best country costume will be judged at 12.00pm in our “Best in Show” event. It will be a great day with raffles, food, activities and prizes and funky tunes to swing to.
