It’s almost Christmas Fair time in Buderim…

Find all the answers to those Christmas gift questions at this year’s Buderim Christmas Fair at the War Memorial Hall, Craft Cottage and gardens on Saturday, November 25.

From quirky ceramics to original artworks, tasty treats to good quality used books, discerning shoppers will find what they’re looking for as well as some special surprises to help fill Christmas stockings.

The Craft Cottage gallery and studios will also open all afternoon on Friday, November 24 and will be chock full of artisan handmade crafts and artworks, paintings, pottery, sculpture, greeting cards by award-winning calligraphers, jewellery in silver other metals and gemstones. The fabric artists will offer fashion, toys, quilting, embroidery and other needlework.

Spice up your Christmas tree with unique baubles and decorations Cottage members are busy making and which will sell for $5 and under.

On Saturday as well as the Craft Cottage, the Memorial Hall and gardens will be dotted with around 90 stalls ready to help with Christmas gift-giving and Christmas treats.

Organised by Buderim Lions and with an emphasis on handmade, quality, local goods you will be able to pick up gourmet goodies, gifts, toys, homewares, homemade soaps and plants with all stalls run by local community groups and market traders.

As well as original crafts and art the Buderim Library will again offer readers stacks of good quality pre-loved books from their sale in the War Memorial Hall. Grab a Christmas read, or three, at super bargain prices. Or use them as stocking fillers and keep the kids, grandkids, parents and grandparents occupied all holidays.

Refreshments will be served up by the Lions Club on the verandah and the Cottage kitchen will offer tea and coffee and homemade yummies.

Take a refreshing breather with Devonshire tea, sit in the gardens and listen to Rag Tag as they play their eclectic mix from jazz to rock ‘n’ roll, then head back to the stalls to check some more items off the list.
