On Sunday, October 13, 2013, Sunshine Coast Council’s premier sport and recreation facility Stockland Park at Kawana Waters will be transformed into the ‘Happiest 5k on the Planet’ when the event spreads its multi-coloured magic into south east Queensland.

Inspired in part by the Hindu Holi festival, with its tradition of welcoming Spring by throwing natural coloured powders, The Swisse Colour Run guarantees a truly memorable experience as runners are showered in blue, yellow, orange and pink coloured powder at each kilometre stage, (made from 100% natural and safe food grade corn starch), turning their pristine white attire into a rainbow explosion of colours!

The five kilometre fun run with a colourful twist will see participants of all ages and fitness levels covered in colour by the time they’ve completed the course, weaving around the Stockland Park precinct and Lake Kawana, a unique course set to showcase the area’s beautiful surrounds.

The Swisse Color Run is not a race where participants battle it out or aim to run a personal best, rather, it’s about connecting with friends and family, being active and enjoying yourself.

Each event raises funds for Swisse’s charitable arm, The Celebrate Life Foundation, which contributes to disease prevention research and supports health and happiness causes across Australia. In addition to this, a local charity partner is also appointed as a beneficiary in each city, with the aim of raising $1million in charitable contributions across the 12 month calendar of events.

The Swisse Color Run is proud to partner with the Celebrate Life Foundation and SunnyKids as our joint major charity partner in Sunshine Coast.

SunnyKids’ is all about gathering the whole community around families and children in need. The Swisse Color Run and Celebrate Life Foundation invite you and your friends to support these courageous children and their families by registering as an ‘Everyday Hero’ and raise funds by running for SunnyKids.
