Drawing & Painting for Beginners Course

This Painting & Drawing Fundamentals course enables students to look at creating the drawn image differently than just create an outline and colour in.

Create drawings with depth and dimension by using light and shade.  

Learn about good composition, negative space, identifying light source, texture, and look at a variety of drawing mediums such as graphite, charcoal, pastel and ink, making texture medium and applying to paper to create individual textures to draw into. 

Learn the basics of acrylic painting, colour theory and colour schemes. You will spend some time on understanding what different brushes do, as well as pushing the boundaries of painting by introducing some mixed media work, and using tools other than brushes to apply paint.
