Floral Art - Introduction to Floristry

Making fabulous floral arrangements is an excellent skill to have not only to make your own home beautiful but to create professional looking arrangements for family and friends. This course has an additional $120 materials cost paid to the Tutor at the first lesson.

Whether you purchase flowers or use your own garden flowers after the course your arrangements will have that extra style and flair. 

Generally Floral Art courses don't include the flowers meaning you have to buy the specific flowers each week, however seeing as our fantastic Tutor is a professional florist all flowers and materials (except floral scissors) are included. Meaning you don't have to do any work other than arrive at class and leave with lovely floral arrangements and new found floral art skills. 

Outline of the topics covered below however the schedule may be adjusted:

• The treatment and conditioning of both flowers and foliage
• Making a hand tied posy
• Exploring different ways to arrange flowers for your home (bringing in your own vases)
• Assemble a bouquet of flowers, with different techniques and styles on wrapping
• Creating an arrangement into floral foam oasis
• Introduction to wiring
