September School Holiday Art Workshop - Junk Sculpture 

Holiday art workshops for ages 5 – 12 are aimed at children making a fun arty project that nurtures the individual creativity in each student. Projects will be completed and ready to take home in one session. Students gain confidence when they learn and master new skills and techniques; They enjoy the process of creating when they are challenged to try new designs and can experiment with a wide variety of materials in painting, drawing and mixed media. 

Learning Objectives

• Personal introduction and meet & greet
• safety in the art room
• protective footwear, aprons
• construction process
• Painting process
• use of glue
• application of surface finish

What to bringStudents are to bring with them junk materials eg. Small Bottle tops from containers of milk, sauce, shampoo etc, paper towel roll, small pc parts, any small plastic or metal parts. Students will need to wear covered shoes and wear old clothes. All materials are provided.
