Get outdoors and experience the natural beauty of the Glasshouse Mountains, Lamington and D’Aguilar National Parks at the Great Queensland Bushwalk on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th August.

Passionate and experienced leaders will be running a variety of themed bushwalks and activities including rainforest photography, trail running, historical talks, bird watching and wildflower walks.

Just one of the exciting adventure activities on offer is the Box Circuit Full Day Walk. On this 11km rainforest trek, participants will experience the beauty of the Lamington National Park’s most beautiful waterfalls, hike through rugged Elabanah Falls and enjoy a scenic morning tea break at the idyllic Picnic Rock.

Hosted by the National Park Association of Queensland (NPAQ), the Great Queensland Bushwalk is a great way to get active outdoors, learn something new, make new friends and experience some of Queensland’s most beautiful natural icons.

NPAQ Executive Coordinator and field botanist Paul Donatiu will lead a wildflower bushwalk through D’Aguilar National Park’s hidden treasure Northbrook Gorge.

Walks vary in length and difficulty to cater to a range of fitness levels.

All participants should wear sensible shoes, sun protection and bring water and food if required.

Participants must register online at www.gqb.org.au. For more information, contact the National Parks Association of Queensland on (07) 3367 0878 or email admin@npaq.org.au.
