Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra Concert

The Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Donna McMahon will perform symphonic works at the Suncoast Convention Centre Auditorium on 31st August. The programme includes Nicolai’s The Merry Wives of Windsor Overture, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.2, Op 17, and Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B Minor, Op104. 

The Orchestra will be joined by guest cellist Sam Lucas, a brilliant 17 year old local musician who, having won the Australian Concerto Competition, was invited to perform with several of the world’s best concert pianists.  In 2012, he performed with Bulgarian concert pianist Evgeny Genchev in both the Sofia (Bulgaria) and Glebe (Sydney) music festivals, and he now regularly performs with world class musicians. Tickets are $30 at the door, $25 concession/pre-purchased, $20 each for groups of 10 or more, and children under 16 free.
