The very popular Twilight Markets @ Bulcock Beach is the chosen location for the launch of the 2013 Caloundra Fringe Festival on Friday the 27th of September. The launch will be a fiesta of entertainment, showcasing just a taste of the broad range of planned Fringe Festival activities.

The program, starting at 3.30pm, will include dance, music, art, juggling and much more to entertain the whole family, launching the Fringe Festival in true Caloundra style, by the water. The launch event is the work of the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce to support the Fringe Festival and all of its many and varied events. Mayor Mark Jamieson will be speaking at 4.00pm and former Mayor Bob Abbott, a keen musician and supporter of the arts, will be in attendance to emcee the evening.

Manager of Twilight Markets @ Bulcock Beach, Jade Baker says there is plenty to be excited about with the Fringe Festival launch taking place at the Twilight Markets.

"The Hi Boys will be performing along with the Free Spirit Samba Dancers, SistaGurl, Juzzie Smith and Great Scott. Well-known local celebrity Kim McCosker of 4 Ingredients will also be part of an onstage interview. It is wonderful to celebrate the launch of the Fringe Festival and showcase the diverse talent and quality of events that will take place as part of the Fringe Festival" Jade said.

All entertainment will take place at the Twilight Markets ensuring there lots to see and do in the market precinct. There will be tasty food options, a large range of stalls including fashion, unique arts and crafts, and handmade products.

"It really is a great family event, and is set in one of the most idyllic places. To be able to stroll through the market with the picturesque Bulcock Beach and sun setting behind the Glass House Mountains is really special. With the Twilight Markets held seasonally, you don’t want to miss this while it’s here" Jade said.

The Fringe Festival has continued to grow from its first year in 2012, bringing a hive of activity to Caloundra from the 27

th of September to 7th of October. An exciting new Fusion Food Festival is being co-ordinated by local company 4 Ingredients that will entice visitors on Monday 7th of October with delicious food and wine demonstrations and tastings from Sunshine Coast restaurants and producers.

The Twilight Markets @ Bulcock Beach will take place on two Friday nights as part of the Fringe Festival on the 27

th of September and another on the 4th of October from 3pm – 8pm.
