Hootenanny

The headspace hootenanny aims to bring the Sunshine Coast together for a public celebration of Mental Health Week. The hootenanny utilises the arts, twilight markets, an outdoor movie screening and local entertainment, to create conversations about mental health and reduce the stigma associated with help seeking. The hootenanny is about increasing awareness, inspiring the community to talk about mental health, and having a bit of fun in doing so!

This event is a collaboration of more than 15 community partners including mental health services, youth organisations, and businesses with a social conscience. As a community event the more local organisations, businesses, groups and individuals that are involved, the more success and influence this event can have to make a change in our region.
