I Am Jack

Adapted for the stage by Eva Di Cesare, Sandra Eldridge and Tim McGarry. Based on the book by Susanne Gervay.

Jack is smart and funny and eleven years old. Jack is also being bullied and needs help. Unfortunately, Jack's mother is too wrapped up in herself to see this and Jack's teacher, Mr Angelou, is too busy to pay attention to the warning signs. But little does Jack know that help is close at hand.

This excellent one man show about bullying explores the often overlooked insidious taunting and teasing that bullies are so adept at inflicting on their victims and the roles that family and schools can play in responding.

Jack takes us on a touching and sometimes comical journey as he moves from victim to victor. For young people aged 8 - 14 years.

This production has had very successful national tours throughout 2008/2009 and the USA in 2014, and has been very popular with schools. This show is not suitable for ages 7 and under due to the sensitive nature of the subject.
