PASSPORT GAME FUN AT BIG PINEAPPLE

The Big Pineapple Markets at Woombye will give away fun prizes through a Passport Game for school-aged children, on the next two Saturdays.

To be eligible for the prizes each child from five to 17 years needs to collect a Market Passport on arrival at the markets and collect a sticker or a stamp from every stall for their passport, on Saturday 11 and Saturday 18 April, between 6.30am and 11.30am.

Each completed passport with game participants name on it, will be placed in a barrel and the winners drawn out by Dean Croyden, at 12 noon on Saturday 11 and Saturday 18 April.

The winners of the games will receive two FREE tickets for the jumping castle, two FREE tickets on the cane train around the pineapple plantation, as well as a basket of fresh produce.

The Big Pineapple is also a Mum and Bub-friendly market, with face painting, sand painting activities and huge pram-friendly deck overlooking the pineapple plantation.

Mums and Dads will be pleased to know the markets recently opened a coffee shop near the entrance, so they can enjoy a quality caffeine fix, while their children are busy having fun.

The heritage-listed Big Pineapple, a national icon, nestling on 165 hectares, at Woombye has provided healthy family and tourist entertainment for more than four decades.

You can’t beat the refreshing taste of our pineapple parfaits, when that ice cream and fruit salad blend melts in your mouth on a hot day, after swimming or surfing at the beach. The Big Pineapple Markets has also become a popular destination for an international brunch on a Saturday morning.

Visitors to the markets will appreciate fresh fruit juices, cut flowers, fresh mushrooms and ginger, potted herbs, popcorn, health products, ladies fashion, children’s clothes and much more.

After a visit to the Big Pineapple, visitors can pop next door with their children to see the animals at the Queensland Zoo.
