The Cooroy Butter Factory has asked art enthusiast Tricia Bradford to organise a series of Pop Up galleries, rolling exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations to occupy the Cooroy art space until August when the future of the Butter Factory may well be decided.
The main galleries of the Butter Factory will be home to exhibits from 55 artists, craftspeople and arts collectives featuring a wide and diverse range of two dimensional and 3 dimensional art including paintings in all media, sculpture, ceramics, mosaics, jewellery, fabric and wearable art. The entire display will be changed on a monthly basis.
The highlights of the rolling exhibitions will be the monthly addition of two or three mini Pop Up studios or galleries featuring well known artists with new and different art forms. The art work will be unusual and attention seeking and well worth the visit.
All the participating artists will be happy to share their knowledge and talk to visitors. Many will give either workshops or demonstrations and many will work on site. There will also be the Butter Factory's Public Programs such as Get Creative, free family oriented art activities developed in conjunction with current exhibited art and exhibition guided tours and morning tea where the public can meet the exhibiting artists for informal floor talks, learn about the exhibitions and the motivation behind their practice.
The Butter Factory Art Collective would like to welcome everyone and for further enquiries contact the Noosa Regional Gallery 5329 6145 or Tricia Bradford 0411 244 304
