The renowned OPERATIF! presents another ‘Morning Matinee’ concert, this time a nostalgic collection of great songs from the 20s to the 40s.

For over 20 years OPERATIF! has presented many and varied acclaimed vocal productions, yet they have always included special concerts at a reduced price, for those who prefer daytime activities and enjoy the excellent value these performances offer.

The cast features regulars soprano Jennifer Parish, baritone Stewart Cameron and pianist John Woods and special guest for this heart-warming programme is larger-than-life bass, David Hibbard.

Take a delightful walk down memory lane and hear once more such wonderful songs as Sally, Waltz of My Heart, The Sergeant Major’s on Parade, We’ll Gather Lilacs, The Road to Mandalay, The White Cliffs of Dover, Have some Madeira M’ Dear and many other favourites. This era spawned so many instantly-recalled songs, many came from the elegant stage shows of Ivor Novello and Noel Coward, others from the popular song writers of the day who reflected the times with bold and brave songs of war, comic pieces to keep spirits bright and of course, the sentimental melodies filled with memories of home and hopes for the future.
