Community groups bring back street party

Buderim locals can now look forward to the return of a family favourite – the Buderim Street Party – organised by the Lions and Rotary Clubs of Buderim.

The Buderim Street Party will be held on Saturday 15 August from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, between the two roundabouts on Burnett Street.

Following on from the success of the Buderim 150 Street Party three years ago, which attracted up to 5000 locals to Burnett Street, this year’s event organisers are aiming to increase attendance, providing an experience like no other.

The August Buderim Street Party is promising “something for everyone”, with plenty of entertainment, food and fun for all ages. There will be a main stage for the general public; a youth stage area for 13 – 18 year olds; and two theme areas for younger children.

Businesses are invited to trade on the night, decorate their shop, dress up staff, and become a sponsor of the event. There will be great music and street entertainment. And a wide range of food will be available.

Together, Buderim Lions and The Rotary Club of Buderim are committed to create an event truly inclusive. It’s a night for celebrating this very special community in which we choose to live and work.
