This course introduces the inspiring Buddhist teachings of the Nalanda Tradition of India and clarifies them through the Tibetan Buddhist lens. We'll be looking into Buddhist teachings on Virtue, Emptiness and Compassion and discover how our own precious Buddha Nature can support us to make the most meaningful choices in our everyday lives. Putting this knowledge into practice, we'll learn concise and practical methods for stabilising the mind and increasing our capacity for compassion. Saturday 16 July 9.00 am - Sunday 17 July 3.30 pm, held in the Gompa at Chenrezig Institute. Facility fee $150. 10% discount for members and concession card holders. Accommodation and meals available separately. Meals must be booked before 10.00 am on the day of the event. All bookings can be made on our website www.chenrezig.com.au. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Venerable Jhampa is the Manager of the Losang Dragpa Monastery and attended the Buddhist Studies Programme, an extensive 5 year programme at Chenrezig Institute. He is currently studying at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in India.

Established 1974, Chenrezig Institute is a centre for Buddhist study, meditation, retreat and practice nestled in the foothills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The Institute is home to a Tibetan Geshe (Lama), a large community of ordained Sangha (monks and nuns), students, residents, volunteers, retreat goers and guests.

Apart from the formal study programmes, Chenrezig Institute is a peaceful, calm and relaxing place to spend a few hours, days or weeks. Stroll along the bush paths, wander in formal garden, espresso in the cafe or a vegetarian meal.
