This one-day retreat offers the chance to explore and practice mindfulness in a beautiful rainforest setting at the Wellbeing Centre, based at Chenrezig Institute. The retreat is suitable for those new to mindfulness or for those wishing to deepen an established practice. Throughout the day you will be guided through a variety of mindfulness techniques, designed to bring more relaxation, calm, clarity and insight to daily life. You will start with a foundational Focus Training practice, then move on to a more advanced Open Awareness training to develop greater insight into your mind. The mindfulness practices will be taught in a secular (non-religious) way and there will be time throughout the day for questions and discussion. We will be practising mindfulness seated in a chair, however participants are invited to bring their own meditation cushion or mats if they prefer. Saturday 24 July 9.30 am - 3.30 pm, held in the Wellbeing Centre at Chenrezig Institute. Facility Fee $149 10% discount for members and concession card holders. Accommodation and meals available separately. Meals must be booked before 10.00 am on the day of the event. All bookings can be made on our website www.chenrezig.com.au. Lindel Greggery is principal of Noticing the Now, which delivers mindfulness training and coaching to individuals, teams and businesses. She is a corporate mindfulness trainer with the Potential Project and trained in the mindfulness-based therapy ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) with Dr Russ Harris, author of The Happiness Trap. Lindel has had a daily mindfulness practice for more than a decade.

Established 1974, Chenrezig Institute is a centre for Buddhist study, meditation, retreat and practice nestled in the foothills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The Institute is home to a Tibetan Geshe (Lama), a large community of ordained Sangha (monks and nuns), students, residents, volunteers, retreat goers and guests.

Apart from the formal study programmes, Chenrezig Institute is a peaceful, calm and relaxing place to spend a few hours, days or weeks. Stroll along the bush paths, wander in formal garden, espresso in the cafe or a vegetarian meal.

Teachers’ availability subject to change; please refer http://www.chenrezig.com.au/programme/monthly-calendar/ for updated information.
