This one-day retreat offers the chance to explore and practice mindfulness in a beautiful rainforest setting at the Wellbeing Centre, based at Chenrezig Institute. The retreat is suitable for those new to mindfulness or for those wishing to deepen an established practice. Throughout the day you will be guided through a variety of mindfulness techniques, designed to bring more relaxation, calm, clarity and insight to daily life. You will start with a foundational Focus Training practice, then move on to a more advanced Open Awareness training to develop greater insight into your mind. The mindfulness practices will be taught in a secular (non-religious) way and there will be time throughout the day for questions and discussion. We will be practising mindfulness seated in a chair, however participants are invited to bring their own meditation cushion or mats if they prefer. Saturday 24 July 9.30 am - 3.30 pm, held in the Wellbeing Centre at Chenrezig Institute. Facility Fee $149 10% discount for members and concession card holders. Accommodation and meals available separately. Meals must be booked before 10.00 am on the day of the event. All bookings can be made on our website www.chenrezig.com.au. Apart from the formal study programmes, Chenrezig Institute is a peaceful, calm and relaxing place to spend a few hours, days or weeks. Stroll along the bush paths, wander in formal garden, espresso in the cafe or a vegetarian meal.
