Many of the behaviours that limit natural expression are habitual. Many issues - pain, physical limitation, anxiety and ineffective action - are amplified by erroneously accepting some limitations as inevitable. As habits are embodied. they can be studied through movement and sensing. This workshop explores an approach, The Feldenkrais Method, based on learning and movement that assists us to move beyond habits that limit development. The approach is fascinating and counter cultural. It is an all gain no pain approach to development. Saturday 10 Sep 10.00 am - 2 pm, at  the Wellbeing Centre at Chenrezig Institute.  Facility fee $55. 10% discount for concession card holders. Accommodation and meals available separately. Meals must be booked before  9.30 am on the day of the event. All bookings can be made on our website www.chenrezig.com.au.. About the Presenter Eric Kiernan PhD spent much of his career as an economist at several Australian universities. He has a profound interest in systems that can find themselves in different states; some are unsatisfactory, others are more satisfactory. Of particular interest to Eric are practical methods to assist us to move from one state to another. Eric uses these ideas and practices to assist the development of individuals, couples, teams and organisations. He runs Hummingbird Dojo in Maleny, which offers The Feldenkrais Method, Voice Dialogue and Kraiki (a Feldenkrais-inspired approach to Aikido).

Established 1974, Chenrezig Institute is a centre for Buddhist study, meditation, retreat and practice nestled in the foothills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The Institute is home to a Tibetan Geshe (Lama), a large community of ordained Sangha (monks and nuns), students, residents, volunteers, retreat goers and guests.

Apart from the formal study programmes, Chenrezig Institute is a peaceful, calm and relaxing place to spend a few hours, days or weeks. Stroll along the bush paths, wander in formal garden, espresso in the cafe or a vegetarian meal.
