Mental Heath Awareness and Stress Management with Bryan Peck (Supporting Queensland Mental Health Week) This is a full day facilitator-led course focusing on the communication and influencing skills required to help people through overwhelming issues. It is designed to help recognise when friends and family members may be struggling with their mental health, and gives you the tools and confidence to help. This course will help you communicate with people who are suffering so that they don’t feel isolated and alone.

 

Saturday 15 Oct 9.00 am – 4.00 pm, at the Wellbeing Centre at Chenrezig Institute. Facility fee $95. 10% discount for concession card holders. Accommodation and meals available separately. Meals must be booked before 9.30 am on the day of the event. Bryan Peck works as an instructor and consultant to organisations on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane. He has been working in the field of mental health training for over 3 years, and has studied in Psychology for over 5 years. Bryan has conducted Mental Health First Aid training to over 800 participants. Bryan conducts training in diverse areas, with diverse participants, with an emphasis on sharing skills to improve Stress Management and Mindfulness and enhance daily well-being. Bryan’s passions focus on improving our responses to mental health, and reducing the effects of shame on mental health.

 

Apart from the formal study programmes, Chenrezig Institute is a peaceful, calm and relaxing place to spend a few hours, days or weeks. Stroll along the bush paths, wander in formal garden, espresso in the cafe or a vegetarian meal.
