The Four Thoughts that turn the mind toward peace and away from the constant cycle of craving are a fundamental part of our Dharma practice. Without deepening our understanding of these, it is difficult to make substantial progress on our journey towards finding our own Buddha nature.

This weekend will use meditation and mindfulness to help us develop a deeper and more personal understanding of our Precious Human Rebirth, Impermanence, Karma - the Law of Cause and Effect, and the suffering of ourselves and others.

Through this process, not only will our Dharma practice deepen, but our awareness of our interconnectedness to others and our world will be enhanced. This weekend will show us how to invite peace into our hearts despite the challenges our lives and the world present to us.

Everyone is welcome and this course is suitable for those who are new to Buddhism.

Saturday 17th March 9.00 am - Sunday 18th March 4.30 pm held in the Gompa at Chenrezig Institute. Facility fee $108.  10% discount for members and concession card holders. Accommodation and meals available separately.

Ven. Tsultrim is a counsellor with a Masters of International Studies in Peace and Conflict Resolution. She works with people at risk of suicide, their family and friends.

Chenrezig Institute is a not for profit Buddhist study & retreat Centre in the Hinterland. Which also offers a Wellbeing Centre for non-religious courses towards health & happiness.

Established 1974, Chenrezig Institute is a centre for Buddhist study, meditation, retreat and practice nestled in the foothills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The Institute is home to a Tibetan Geshe (Lama), a large community of ordained Sangha (monks and nuns), students, residents, volunteers, retreat goers and guests.

Apart from the formal study programmes, Chenrezig Institute is a friendly yet peaceful, calm and relaxing place to spend a few hours, days or weeks in our varied accommodation. Visit our Gompa on the hill, past the prayer wheel, stroll along the bush paths or wander in the formal Garden Of Enlightenment & around the Stupas. Enjoy an espresso & cake in the cafe or a vegetarian meal, pop into our shop or relax in our extensive library.

Also below the carpark is our new addition ‘The Wellbeing Centre’ which provides courses focusing on cultivating physical, emotional and mental balance and wellbeing. They include authentic traditional and modern psychological approaches to health and lifestyle. They are suitable for everyone who maybe looking for genuine happiness and well-being in a non-religious framework.
