Queensland’s biggest and best LEGO® Fan Expo returns to the Sunshine Coast in May 2018 for the fifth annual Sunshine Coast Brick Event.

The Sunshine Coast Brick Event  will be held Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May 2018 at the Lake Kawana Community Centre, at 114 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina. The Sunshine Coast Brick Event is set to showcase amazing dioramas, custom LEGO® creations of many talented local brick builders who will be exhibiting creations built entirely from LEGO®.

Showcasing LEGO creations by QLUG. More displays and bigger event!

The Sunshine Coast Brick Event is a LEGO® fan event for all ages and will be one of the biggest yet held on the Sunshine Coast showcasing over 20 different exhibits all made from LEGO® bricks. Themes on display will encompass Space and Star Wars, City (with working trains), Wild West, operating Technic vehicles and much much more. The build and play tables along with the creation walls and the build a train play area will be extremely popular with children and the adults of all ages. Retail outlets will be offering fans all the latest in LEGO® products, games, merchandise and jewellery creations. For the first time ever exclusive VIP tours will operate on both event days guided by a Master Builder, participants will be able to get up close to all the displays, chat with the creators, receive a special event set to take home plus other exclusive items bookings are recommended as tours and places will be limited.

More detailed works will feature in excess of 30,000 pieces each, and no, none of it is glued (that would be sacrilege). The total brick count would be in excess of 1 million pieces!  All of this from the private collections and imaginations of over 20 individuals or in Lego speak – Master Builders.

Displays are constantly evolving and expanding, the time spent on creating these works make them incalculable. Set up of the individual displays at the Lake Kawana Community Centre will be a meticulous process. Creators will spend a minimum of 4 hours delicately unpacking already assembled sectioned pieces before industriously joining them to create final masterpieces.

Opening hours for admission to the Brick Event will be Saturday 9am to 3:30pm and Sunday 9am to 3:30pm. Admission for Adults $14.50, Children (3-15yrs) $9.50, Family (2 Adults & 3 children) $53.00, Children under 3 FREE, tickets are available at www.brickevents.iwannaticket.com.au and at the door with Cash & EFTPOS payment facilities available.
