Since 1994 singers of all abilities have enjoyed the thrill of singing with Noosa Chorale. Noosa Chorale is the only choir in the Noosa area to offer singers the exhilarating experience of singing major classical works with an orchestra.

Our rehearsals are enjoyable because we have a wonderful conductor, Adrian King, who makes it fun and energises us.   You'd be very welcome to come along and see if our choir suits you.

Members have a strong commitment to achieving a high standard of performance and to attending rehearsals. The Chorale rehearses on Tuesday nights from 7 to 9.15pm. The venue is Carramar Homes for the Aged, 186 Cooroy-Noosa Rd, Tewantin.  There is a big formidable security gate at the entrance.  You just drive up to it and it automatically opens. Just drive in and find a park.  You will see people making their way to rehearsal room.

Members pay $7 per rehearsal, if paid on a per night casual basis, or $5 a night, if paid in a lump sum up at the beginning of each term.  There is also an annual $2 membership fee to ensure all participants are covered by our public liability insurance.

Noosa Chorale is a community choir. Membership is open to anybody in the community who has a desire to sing great choral works. Many people with little musical experience have developed their singing and musical skills through the Chorale. Although an ability to read music is an advantage, it is not necessary for membership of the choir and there are no auditions for prospective members. We also have a very good system of learning CDs for all parts and place importance on maintaining a friendly and enjoyable rehearsal experience while achieving high standards of musical performance.

Noosa Chorale was formed in early 1994 at the instigation of Joe McMahon, who saw a gap in the cultural life of Noosa.  The Chorale’s aim is to bring to the people of the Sunshine Coast the rich repertoire of the great classical choral works.  It has become a cultural landmark in Noosa with a loyal and enthusiastic audience and a core of experienced long term members.

The Chorale numbers about seventy voices and currently performs its concerts in the Bicentennial Hall in Sunshine Beach.

The Chorale has performed many of the major classical choral masterworks, including: Handel MESSIAH and JUDAS MACCABAEUS, Mozart REQUIEM, and CORONATION MASS, Vivaldi GLORIA, Haydn NELSON MASS, HARMONIE MASS, and THE SEASONS, Beethoven CHORAL SYMPHONY, Bach MASS IN B MINOR, Rutter, Verdi and Faure REQUIEMs, Orff  CARMINA BURANA. Jenkins THE ARMED MAN as well as two concerts of operatic highlights and two concerts of modern pop music.

The Chorale also has two very popular Christmas Cheer events each year in December.  The choir sings traditional, modern and humorous carols and songs and offers Christmas fare in a beautifully decorated setting.
